Risk Disclosure
Read this disclosure before buying or starting an evaluation programme or using IPFX Markets.
This page explains the principal risks in plain language. It is a working draft and must be reviewed with the Terms and Conditions by qualified UK legal counsel before the service is launched.
1. Nature of the service
IPFX Capital provides trader evaluation programmes. Evaluation accounts use virtual capital in a simulated environment. A challenge fee pays for access to the evaluation service; it is not a deposit, investment, stake or balance available for withdrawal.
IPFX Capital Ltd states that it is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and does not provide investment advice. The precise contractual position is set out in the Terms and Conditions.
2. Trading and market risk
Leveraged trading is high risk. Prices can move quickly and losses can occur rapidly. Simulated performance does not establish that the same strategy will be profitable in live market conditions.
- Leverage increases the effect of both favourable and adverse price movements.
- Market gaps, volatility and limited liquidity can produce execution at a different price from the price requested.
- A stop-loss reduces exposure but does not guarantee execution at the chosen price.
- Past performance, backtests and hypothetical results do not guarantee future performance.
- No strategy, automated system or risk control removes the possibility of loss.
3. Evaluation and fee risk
You may lose the challenge fee if you breach a rule, fail to meet an objective, become ineligible or stop participating. Passing an evaluation, receiving access to a funded account, receiving a performance payment or being offered additional capital is never guaranteed.
Programme rules can include daily loss limits, drawdown limits, profit targets, minimum trading days, maximum risk per trade and prohibited-practice controls. Review the rules shown for your chosen programme before payment and before every trade.
4. Technology, data and pricing risk
IPFX Markets depends on internet connectivity, software, market-data providers and supporting infrastructure. Delays, stale prices, outages or device failure may temporarily prevent an order from being entered, modified or closed. Displayed prices and simulated fills can differ from prices available in a live market.
Closing a browser window or desktop application does not necessarily close an open position. Confirm order and position status inside the platform. Contact support if the displayed state appears incorrect.
5. Funded accounts and performance payments
A funded account, if offered, is owned and controlled by IPFX Capital under the applicable agreement. The participant does not deposit personal trading capital into that account and does not own its balance. Any performance payment is governed by the programme terms, verification requirements and the participant’s written agreement.
Live execution can differ from evaluation results because of liquidity, spreads, commissions, slippage, market impact and operational controls.
6. Your responsibility
You are responsible for deciding whether an evaluation is appropriate for your experience, finances and circumstances. Do not pay a challenge fee using money needed for essential living costs, and do not treat a possible performance payment as guaranteed income.
Nothing on the website, platform, chatbot, educational material or support channel is personal financial advice or a recommendation to trade a particular instrument.
